what is Success By 6?
Success By 6 Norman is a Smart Start Oklahoma Community and a United Way of Norman initiative. Through shared community commitment, active collaboration and innovative leadership, Success By 6 Norman is working to provide excellent opportunities to the children and families in Cleveland and McClain Counties. Our mission is that all children in our communities are safe, healthy, eager to learn and ready to succeed by the time they enter school. By giving collective attention and resources to the following outcomes, our mission is being realized.
Early Care and Education Caregivers of young children will have the support and education necessary to provide excellent early learning environments. Health and Wellness Parents and children will have the resources and services necessary to make positive health choices and obtain quality health care. Learning Readiness and Parent Support Parents and guardians will have the information and resources needed to develop positive relationships and language rich environments for their children. Business and Industry Business and community leaders will become committed to early childhood needs, and provide resources - monetary, in-kind and volunteer - as an investment in the community. Public Engagement and Advocacy Elected officials will be aware of children's issues, and community wide information will be distributed regarding Success By 6 and its mission.
As a Smart Start Oklahoma Community, Success By 6 Norman is funded by a Smart Start Oklahoma grant and local matching contributions.
